| Alba & Warren Marry Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were married in the Beverly Hills courthouse's ceremony room in Beverly Hills, California. The news was confirmed by her publicist, Brad Cafarelli but he did not provide any details of the event. The hush-hush affair took eveyone by surprise. Warren and Alba met on the set of 'The Fantastic Four' back in 2004 and became engaged in December of last year. Prior to the engagement, Alba had announced that she's expecting a baby with Warren. The couples' low key-wedding was so clandestine that even her brother, Josh Alba, was apparently caught off-guard. On being questioned about it, he responded, "My sister!? | Simpson And Wentz Marry Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were married at her parents' Los Angeles-area home with an "Alice in Wonderland" theme. Simpson and Wentz exchanged vows at the property in Encino. Joe Simpson, her father, performed the non-denominational ceremony and sister Jessica Simpson was the maid of honor. The bride wore a wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier and a diamond necklace and earrings by Neil Lane. The reception featured a wedding cake piled high with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top. Sources claim that the couple is expecting a child together, which both Simpson and Wentz have denied. Rumors began to fly early in the week that the wedding was set for the weekend. A flurry of arrangements on Saturday afternoon just outside the guarded gates of the Simpson's property indicated that Simpson's wedding to Wentz was imminent. White shuttle vans with dark tinted windows were streaming through the gates, as were several delivery vehicles. The paparazzi had been gathering before 3 p.m., lingering outside the property. Aerial photos posted online on several celebrity Web sites appeared to show several large white party tents. Simpson and Wentz began dating in the fall of 2006 and announced their engagement April 9 of this year. |
| Dupre Sues Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the woman linked to the sex scandal that forced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to resign is suing 'Girls Gone Wild' adult video founder Joe Francis for more than $10 million for the illegal use of her name and image. In the lawsuit, filed in federal court in Miami, Dupre contends that she was 17 and not old enough to sign a legally binding contract when she appeared partially nude in video footage filmed in 2003 by members of Francis' Mantra Films production company in Miami Beach. On a spring break vacation at the time, Dupre was also drunk when she was told to sign a video "release" form, according to the complaint, which seeks damages in excess of $10 million from Francis and his co-defendants."At the time of these events, plaintiff did not understand the magnitude of her actions nor that her image and likeness would be displayed in videos and DVDs produced and distributed by defendants," the lawsuit says."The defendants have profited from the filming, production and distribution and sale of the videos and DVDs," it added."Defendants created the false impression that plaintiff has endorsed and/or approves of the graphic sexual content, including lesbian acts, contained in the video, which in reality she does not." Dupre was identified in media reports in March as the woman named "Kristen' linked to "Client 9," the frequent patron of a prostitution ring.Spitzer was the unnamed Client 9 cited in a federal affidavit against four suspected ringleaders of the online prostitution ring. Spitzer resigned on March 12 after the story appeared. |

| Stalker Found Guilty Obsessed Uma Thurman fan Jack Jordan was found guilty of stalking and harassing her for more than two years, showing up on her front doorstep and movie set and sending her a series of bizarre and threatening "love letters." Jordan faces up to a year in jail. He was convicted of stalking and one count of aggravated harassment, and acquitted of two other harassment counts. The verdict came after a weeklong trial that featured riveting testimony from Thurman, who told the jury she was "completely freaked out" by Jordan's behavior. Prosecutors say he had stalked her since 2005, when his crush on Thurman become so intense that he just had to be with her.. He sent her a series of bizarre cards and letters, including 20 of them while he was locked up at a mental institution. Jordan said he was "humiliated" by the trial and by the fact that his private affections for Thurman had become so public. Jordan said he was involuntarily committed to a mental facility in late 2005 after being questioned about his obsession with Thurman. He was eventually released, and started repeatedly showing up at her apartment last year. At the time of his arrest, he was living out of his car and working part-time as a lifeguard and pool cleaner. |
